Beat Your Odds of Developing Skin Cancer

Anyone can get #skincancer regardless of race, and one in five Americans develop it in their lifetime! In the last 30 years, more people developed skin cancer than all cancers combined. Here’s a few guidelines from the Skin Cancer Foundation:

See your physician every year for a professional skin exam.
Examine your skin head-to-toe every month.
Do not burn.
Apply 2 tablespoons of sunscreen to your body 30 minutes before going outside. Reapply every two hours or right after swimming or sweating.
Keep newborns out of the sun. Sunscreens should be used on babies over the age of six months.
